My Circles and Cycles project was created on new software connected to a computerized loom which I used for the first time. I began by designing circles on graph paper, transferring them to the computer. I tried variations of twills, resized my circles, and made more changes as I wove. The whole project became my sample. I made mistakes, decided I liked them and kept them in. They were part of the process. I used a rainbow of colors. I created an outer cocoon on which to depict the cycle of creation. I wrote my statement and sewed pockets, stuffing them with relating materials. I used plants to represent all cycles.
The project itself is a cycle of creation.
