| Statement
Her name was Marguerite, but everyone called her Daisy. She grew up
in a very small town in
Sixteen years later, Joseph died of a
heart attack. Daisy persevered and finished raising her two children. She
survived the Depression, and
the death of her first grandchild. I was her only other grandchild, so she
had time to take me swimming as well as the theater, circus and zoo. She
taught me to sew and crochet, and let me help her bake. She lived a long
life—90 years.
She never gave up in the tough times,
but went where life took her and bloomed where she was—planted like
ANTHEMIS TINCTORA, THE GOLDEN MARGUERITE DAISY.
