Having spent many years in a warmer climate than Chicago , I find myself peering at my garden in the winter months and dreaming of spring flowers. Little did I realize that my impatience was preventing me from seeing winter’s beauty. One winter afternoon when the sun was setting, I saw the garden’s rich textures in  newly fallen snow—my garden’s winter beauty. I wanted to capture that moment forever.

This jacket is a tribute to that glorious winter day. The fabric was hand-dyed, over-dyed and dye-printed in many layers to achieve that look.
