          My work  represents the sense of awe, peace and unity that nature inspires across continents and cultures. Its visual impact is to call to mind the continent of Africa . One of its many elements contains Juju Beans from Cameroon , which are dried, cut, and used to create leg bracelets and rattles for ritual dance.

          My garment is hand-dyed with both machine and hand stitching, appliqué, beading, bundling and stamping. It incorporates both natural and contemporary elements with “pop tops” woven into the collar. And it crosses cultures with its hand-dyed, soft silk Kimono under the rough heavy cotton duck of the shaman's coat.
