Statement
My inspiration for this garment was the television show "Dancing with the Stars". The women in that show wear the most colorful and exotic gowns. I created this robe to have that same feeling of glamour and glitz. Indeed, one of the yarns that I used is fittingly called 'Stardust'. This fabric is hand-woven fabric using a Deflected Double Weave pattern on eight harnesses. In the construction of my garment I included a front tie closure with silk piping at the neck band. It is completely reversible, black on one side and more cream/white on the other with gold metallic woven throughout. The sleeves and neck band can also be turned up or back for another look. |
